The Job

You will bear the responsibility of the overall manufacturing unit to ensure that the product is made in accordance with the customer’s standard and within the stipulated cycle time. You will be responsible for the order fulfillment for all customers assigned to you. You will be required to achieve Key Performance Indicators of the unit such as cost, on-time delivery, quality, productivity etc. You are required to ensure the manufacturing unit adheres to all set policies and standards and meets the criteria indicated by various compliance standards & statutory requirements. You will be responsible for developing & maintaining effective relationships with customers & suppliers (both internal & external). Furthermore, you are required to drive a learning & innovation culture within the manufacturing unit. You are expected to direct, motivate and lead the team to achieve the budgeted target and maintain highest standards in the manufacturing unit whilst building relationships with employees at all levels & the community.

The Person

You should be a rational and highly motivated individual capable of guiding your team to achieve the budgeted target. You need to be detailed and numbers oriented when presenting targets and action plans. A Degree in Engineering/Production Management or an equivalent is preferred. It is essential that you have approximately 5 years experience as a Production Manager. A background in Engineering or TPS would be a definite plus. You need to have highly developed people handling skills, good self control and the ability to make your team perform at an optimal level.
