The Job
|
|
Your primary job role would be to ensure that every order being delivered to the customer is as per the quality requirement of the customer and to ensure that it is delivered on time. You will also be responsible for meeting the customer product requirements through process control, setting up and maintaining final inspection procedures in accordance with the customer standards and handling of non-conformities. Traffic Light, Quality Circles, SPC charts are some of the current QA practices you may have to use. You are also expected to initiate rejection control mechanisms and re-work controlling processes in sewing lines to ensure 100% order fulfillment/Quality on Finishing process. As the Manager - Quality Assurance, you will be expected to handle customer complaints / issues in a timely manner and provide solutions in problematic situations. You would be expected to build and maintain excellent relationships with the customers and also within the rest of the departments.

The Person
|
|
You should preferably be a Graduate in Textiles Technology with exposure to a computerized environment. Around 3 years of experience in a managerial position in an apparel manufacturing environment would be advantageous. You should be technically competent to work together with the rest of the technical teams in identifying and finding solutions to the problems faced in the manufacturing process. Experience and exposure in knit product manufacturing would be a definite advantage. It is absolutely essential that you possess communication skills to the highest degree as you will be required to coordinate with cross functional departments & also with the customer. Good analytical skills & an eye for detail is a prerequisite. You would also have a very positive outlook and would be methodical and good at prioritizing your work under demanding circumstances.
