The Job

As the logistics services are centralized at Brandix, Logistics division plays a very important role in ensuring a smooth running of the business as they ensure that all the raw material reaches the various manufacturing facilities on time and that the finished goods reach the customers as per the committed delivery dates in perfect condition. As the Manager Logistics your primary responsibility will be to manage the logistics department in a manner so as to have an efficient and cost effective logistics operation in the group. S/he is responsible for liaisoning with both the internal and the external customers, sorting issues that may arise from time to time and also improving the quality of service provided by the department. You will be handling operations of the export division as well as be responsible for all operational activities of the imports division. You will also be responsible in managing a large team and take decisions on deployment of personnel effectively. You will report to the Senior Manager Logistics.

 

 The Person

You should possess a degree/professional qualification and have at least a minimum of 4 years work experience in a similar capacity. You should be a team player with excellent relationship building, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills as well as be competent to manage a large team.

You will also be required to develop a strong collaborative working relationship with senior management of Brandix. You would also need to have a thorough understanding of the logistics operations and be able to formulate an efficient and cost-effective way in improving services provided by the division.
